Place to find personal information using LIN number

Dear Sir / madam / friends,
My H1B application is filed by a company in US and they gave me a LIN number only and not any receipt.I would like to know the personal information,whether the H1B application is filed against my name or not.Can anyone tell me whom to call or which website to see to know the details.

You can find the information with your EAC number at https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp

You also can subscribe to e-mail updates so that u will get information.

Can you track personal information?
I mean the link gives the case status but how should one know that the LIN number is really one's own and not a fraudulant number or anyone else's number?
