H4 appln: BEP / offshore issues

Hi,
I am getting married shortly and would like to apply for H4 for my spouse. I am on H1 through a Indian company. My questions are:
1. Since my employer is a BEP, would the chances of getting the H4 be affected if the appointment is booked by me, instead of through a BEP login?
2. If I am in offshore in India at the time of my spouse's visa interview, is there any additional documentation required?
