H1B papers & H1 status

Hi, I am working for Company A on L1. Company B has applied for H1 (I paid part of the expenses). I have been told that H1 has been approved.

I asked for a copy of the H1 papers but Company B is not responding. They are saying that they need to talk to legal department before they can send me a copy. Am I not entitled to receive the H1 papers?

Also they are saying that my status will change to H1 from Oct 1 regardless of whether I accept the new job. As far as I know, until I take their job offer I will still be on my L1 status.

Any expert opinion will be highly appreciated.

yes, you need to have a copy of your H1b papers. Tell them you need the H1b papers urgently to open a bank account.
