  • Information required for stamping

    Hello,

Its an unusual case. My H1 was filed on May 5th and I got the reciept on May 12th. But I travelled to US on May 6th on H4. In my H1 documents, my
H4 I94 was not attached. Now I have the H1 approval but my employer says that I need to get it stamped to work. Is this correct?. I am a bit confused.

    Thanks in advance,
    Aam

---- Nothing unusual about it. You have to get your H1 visa stamped on your Passport and then enter the country as you have not been given a I-94 with your H1 approval notice. You probably might not have applied for COS (change of status) when you applied for your H1

---- In your H1 documents, they will not attach the H4 I94 and why would they?
