H1B approval status

Hi,

I filed my fresh H1B petition on May18th at Vermont. In aug I received an email saying that my petition is transferred to Nebraska. Now, the current status is "On Aug 10th we received your petition for H1B" .....will email you soon.......I am waiting for the approval.

Can anybody comment on this? When can I expect the decision from USCIS??
Is there anyone with similiar situation???

Hi Victory,
I have friends who are facing similar kind of situation. Since ur petition was filed fairly late (given that H1 filing begins in April) the USCIS approval does take its time. My friend who had got his petition filed during the end of May got his approval only a few days back.

My case too was transferred from Vermount to another center mostly due to the high work load at Vermount. I feel its not a worrying situation. But if U think U need the status U shud call up the help desk number on USCIS site.

Can you tell me your petition details??? like when it was filed nd when i was transferred and the current status.....

I will try to call USCIS??? But, can we talk to customer rep for such kind of queries???
