minor's signature?

I had a little doubt. Should I put my daughter's thumb print in applicant's signature in DS 156 as she is minor and not able to write clearly.

If yes which thumb should it be....RIGHT or LEFT.

If NO what is the solution.

Is DS 157 required for Female at Mumbai Consulate? Just wanted to confirm as on website it is has been mentioned that it is required for Male only.
