Is L1 (petition or visa) a problem for H1

Hi,

I have an important query regarding L1B visa.

My current company (a very reputed Indian company) wants to process a L1B visa for me.

What i wanted to know is this. My petition for L1B might be approved in a months time. Then they will book a PA for me at the consulate. The personal appearance date might be before or after the H1B visa appointment. (i have my h1b PA on march 2007).

What i wanted to know is, when i am going for the visa interview for H1B , will there be any problem, since i might be having either (a) L1B visa already or (b) i might be having a L1B approved petition

If your company is applying a L1 blanket petition, then no need to worry about anything. Blanket petitioner doesn't need any INS approval prior to the consulate interview.

If your company is applying an L1 individual petition for you, then INS will be having both your L1B and H1B pettition at the same time.
