I work and xx company. My petition expires on 13-feb-2007. My company is ready to file an extension. There is a family event which requires me to be present in my home country on 28th jan.I can surely come back to US by 13 th feb.

My question is

1. Do I have an option of filing the extension and getting the approval back before Jan 28?

2. Can i come back in 1st week of feb and then file the extesion.

---- You can certainly try. One way is to go by Premium Processing so that you get your extension much before Feb.'07

2. Can i come back in 1st week of feb and then file the extesion.

---- You'll have to rush with your application and it will be too close to your date of expiry of the present H1

We assume that you have a valid Visa in your Passport to come to the US by Feb. 2007
