My wife received her H1 approval notice which specifies the start date as Oct 1st, 2006. How do we know if the change of status was applied at the time of H1 application or not? Her H1 approval has I-94 attached to it.
Does her status change to H1 automatically on Oct 1st?
Can she start working before she receives the social security number (SSN)? Can she get paid before receiving SSN? I asked this because she needs to get paid to maintain her H1 status, right.
Please advice.
