Urgent help pls - B1 visa rejection effect L1b individual visa?

Greetings All,

I was rejected a b1 visa during december '05. I had to go to US
for training but, I guess the officer was doubtful and I was rejected
with "potential immigrant (214(b))" clause.

Here is the interview I had at that time
The VO officer asked me 2 questions
VO: why u require 8 weeks for business discussions and meetings?
Me: sir, it is a very big project and I have to study the project
(I guess he is not satisfied)
VO: what is ur qualification?
M TECH
Me: REC calicut India
After that he has given me that visa refusal form with potential immigrant (214(b)) clause.

My company have applied for a
premium L1b individual in this year as I have to go there and handle a project. Is my b1 rejection going to affect this one?

what to tell to the visa officer if he asks why ur visa has been been rejected last time?.pls give me advice

---- It was rejected. If the clause of rejection is mentioned on the Passport or any other document handed over to you then the VO will ask you for further details (Normally the VO will have all these details when they open up a file on the computer with your name)

The reason for rejection need not be discussed at all
