Hi all,
This is a grt site with answers to lot of helpful queries. Pls help me with my H1 stamping issue. I have my H1b stamping in India in Dec. I have come to US on H4 in 2005, got H1 approval in Nov 2005, and started working from March 2006. I dint start working in Nov after getting H1 approval and hence i dont have pay stubs for those initial 4 months and hence no W2 for 2005. If any of you have faced similar situation pls help me. My employer has agreed to give me 4 months leave of absence without pay letter. Want to know will such letter help ? Is this a big risk of going for stampign now or shoudl I have gone after few months after getting W2 for 2006 ? At this point its too difficult to cancel my trip. Am sure this situation is pretty common with desi's in US that they get H1 approved but dont start getting paid immediately. Pls help me how do you prepare for the same. I am really in delimna what to do. Hope someone can throw some light on this.
