Help needed

Hi ,

I am in US with my valid H4 visa . I applied for H1 B this year thru a consultant and got it approved by last week of Sept . Iam looking out for job but not able to nail down since i have some geographical constraint . Its been almost more than a month , and iam worried about my status .

I want to know how long can i stay without starting a job considering the fact that my status is changed to H1 after approval ?

Iam planning for a trip to India this feb for vacation as well stamping . In whcih case i might not be able to produce pay stub for these months . Will this cause any problem during stamping ?

Is it possible that , i can switch to a full-time employment (if the company is willing to transfer my H1) without any pay stubs at this point of time ?


Any info would mean a lot .

I would suggest going to Mexico for stamping. Ask your employer to generate a few paystubs and immediately get it stamped in Mexico. The other option you can always convert back to H4.
