  • Urgent... H1B stamping, 797 error,Plz help!

    Hi All

I have my H1B visa stamping appointment at Ciudad Juarez consulate in Mexico on Nov 27th. Just 3days back I noticed an error on my I-797 approval notice.

My employers address was typed wrong. Instead of "Bradbury SE, Suite 217" they typed "Broadway SE, Suite 217". Everything else is correct... even in the petition I-129 forms it is correct.

What should I do? Should I go for my stamping or not? I am actually on F1/OPT rite now and my employer applied for H1B and obtained approval. I am planning to visit India in dec. Tickets and all booked and made all othe travel arrangements.

Did anybody ever came accross such a situation? Plz help... and advice what to do. There are just 4more business days for the appointment and I can't even cancel it.

    Thanks

      Dear Mr.Subramanya

Can you plz suggest why "there is no cause for worry?" Is this mispelling of the employer information very common? or the visa consulate won't bother about that as long as they have the WAC number?

Also, I just observed that the portion of I-797 where the petitioner information is provided, is detachable and its says "Alien Record". Can I just detach this portion before I go for stamping?

      Plz suggest
      Thanks
