Can i get H1 though i have a H4

Hello All,

I have a query. I have my H4 stamping done in Oct 2006, thru my husband's company, but not yet been to US. But my company had filed for H1 for me, which has got approved in Nov 2006. Can i get a H1 stamping done, though i have a H4 ? Please help, i need to decide at the earliest.

Yes, you can get an H1 stamp in your passport. If the H1 is for a consulting company, then you need to get project details and client contracts from your company for the stamping.

Thanks for the reply. I am working for a well-versed organization that has filed for a H1 for this year. I wanted to know if there will be any problem getting the H1 visa inspite of having a H4 Visa. will i be asked any specific questions i have to be prepared for ??
