I was given 221 G asking for additional documentation and drop it in drop box. I have the following questions,

1) what does different colors signify? I see that there are green, blue, yellow and orange..
2) Should i resubmit DS156, DS157, I129 and LCA again?
3) should i go to consulate directly and try to meet them again or drop the additional documents in drop box ? which is better option?

---- Which color have you got for your 221 g. That is not specified. The colors specify different processing issues. Have you seen and read what is written on each of them when you say I see that......

2) Should i resubmit DS156, DS157, I129 and LCA again?

---- If the VO has asked you to submit these documents then do so. If not, there is no need

3) should i go to consulate directly and try to meet them again or drop the additional documents in drop box ? which is better option?

---- If the US Consulate has told you to go through the drop box then follow their instructions. Going to the Consulate will not help you in any manner as they may not permit you inside

Thanks Subramanya. I dropped my documents and while tracking my passport, i got a message that my passport is ready for collection at VFS.

Do you know if they put any message indicating the status of my application?

---- If you are collecting your Passport, that must be with the Visa issued. Good luck and safe journey to the US

Yes, by 'application status', I meant the status of my visa stamping only. I had dropped the requested additional documentation through drop box . Good to know that 'collection of passport ' means visa has been stamped.
