Hi,
I'm working in Chicago on L1 visa right now. I have a peculiar problem. I'm a BA in Economics and MBA in Marketing. I'm a certified SAP Functional consultant working for a prestigious Indian company. I have a total of 6 years of experience, out of which 2 years are in the functional area and the rest 4 years in SAP (2 years onsite). I now want to apply for my H1B visa in April 2007. I am told that since I do not hold a technical degree (BE), chances of rejection are high. I haven't yet contacted any attorneys regarding this matter. Not sure whom to contact.
On another note, my wife is on a L2 visa having the EAD valid till next year. She is yet to join any work. Is it true that if she joins work and if her company applies for her green card, the chances of getting the green card are lot faster than applying through H1B visa.
Thanking you in advance
Regards
Chandra Sekhar
