H1 Visa-Renewal que

I have H1 visa valid till May,2008. But I am not going to US now due to some reason. If I don't go to US and my current visa expires(may,2008) then
* Can I file for H-1 renewal here only
* Can it be renewed at all or
* I will have to file fresh H-1 application

That depends upon whether you are going to join the same employer or not.

If different employer, you will have to start all over again.
