I ahve couple of questions regarding H1 Renewal. Please advice. Thanks in advance.


Issue 1
I have a question regarding H1 renewal. I have valid H1 with VISA until June 2007. Can I apply for H1 renewal and travel abroad (India) while my H1 renewal is in process. Can I leave United States and come back within the validity of old H1 like before June 2007. Please suggest whether it is advisable to travel abroad when H1 Renewal is in process.


Issue2

My Passport expires in 2008. if I apply for H1 renewal will it be extended for 3 years or it is extended based on Passport expiration. Please advice.

Planning to go to India in Jan.

1) Yes. As long is you have valid visa, you can leave and enter US any time.
2) Extended for 3 years. Passport expiry date has nothing to do with H1 petition.
