My friend is in H-4 status. Her husband filed for her H-4 extension and now they are seperated(not legally but living seperately). Now she does not have H-4 extension approval papers and the case is not yet approved. Even after approval her husband wouldn't give them to her. Now if she wants to change her status from H-4 to H-1 , can she do that without the H-4 extension approval papers. Please advise...
