Hi , i came to US on H4 and got my H1 in 2006 quota . i have working in US since may 2006 . i am planning a vacation to india in feb and have to go for stamping . Just in case i dont get the visa stamped , can i come back on H4 ? Please let me know.

---- You have already started working on H1 and thus your status is H1 and H4 is no longer valid. The affixed H4 Visa on your Passport may exist but that is no longer valid. When you attend the Visa interview for H1, the H4 will be cancelled or noted as cancelled

My case is similar. I came here on H4 , and got approval of H1 in Nov 2006.What if i am not yet started working . Can i still keep H4 Status ?Comment
