W2 Form's impact on H1B

Hi all,

I was in the United States from FEB 06 to DEC 06 in L1B visa. During my stay I didn't file my tax returns. Now I have planned to apply H1 B visa, since I haven't filled my tax will there be a problem when I go for H1 B stamping in India.

If it is a problem how can it be resolved? Can the tax be filled remotely from India? Also, please let me know the importance of W2 and what does it mean exactly.

---- W2 is the document that you receive for the previous year earned wages and paid taxes. When you file your tax returns, you submit a portion of this W2 form in order to reclaim the exces taxes you paid. Yes, you can file them even remotely by e-filing and or sending it in paper

---- The VO may ask you for the W2 document when you attend the interview for a Visa
