H1B Transfer Query

I appreciate your critical and timely help to all of the members in the group
I do have a question

--
I'm on H1B Visa in USA which is valid until April, 2008
Recently I switched from Company A to B
Company B has filed H1B transfer for me
I resigned from A on 02/09/2007 and joined B on 02/12/2007
Today I've been informed by Company B that my Transfer got effective from
02/19/2007 even though they pay me for the first week(02/12/2007 to 02/18/2007) by giving me some chack

I'm afraid if my stay in US from 02/12/2007 to 02/18/2007 is illegal
Please clarify

---- If your H1 transfer was filed by 2/12/07 and if you also received a receipt notice then there are no issues. Even then as the duration of stay without status is short (considering the fact that if you have not applied for H1 transfer by 2/12/07), this can taken as a grace period for transfer and joining the neew employer and starting to work
