Travelling outside US on EAD

Hello All,

I am working in a company in USA on L1 visa and my wife who had come to US on F1 visa and changed the status to L2.

In the mean while, my company started Green Card processing for me and thru that my wife got an EAD card few weeks earlier.

Unexpectedly, my wife needs to go India to attend her sick father now.

So can she travel with out hindering the GC process? Will she be violating any laws?

Any help or info is really appreciated.

attending to her sick father is more important than the GC process. There's no law that prevents her from attending to her father.

Satish, have you received you i512 (Authorization for Parole)? If so, you can travel outside the US, but make sure you carry the docs with you upon entry.
