Need Help on New H1 Case

Hi All,

I filed H1B for my wife along with her I-94 in this year quota

She got H1B approvel, my question is when she can apply for SSN

can she apply now ? or she need to wait till 1 Oct 2007

I would appriciate if some one help me regaring this

You need to wait till Oct 1, 2007 to apply for SSN. It takes 6-8 weeks to receive social security number. She can start working after receiving her social security number in Jan 2008.
