Clarifications needed before leaving for US

Hii,
I got my H1B visa stamped, I will be travelling to US next month and I need to know what are all things that are need to be clarified with the employer before leaving for US(like salary component or percentage, benefits, medical insurance, whether will be paid if there are no projects available, etc).

Please give ur suggestions which will help me and many others in this community.

Most employers do not pay when on bench. Some do provide free accomodation and food if there are no projects available. This would be a good thing to have. Medical insurance is very important especially if your family is travelling with you. If you are without projects for too long, some employers ask you to go back to your home country until you can get a project.
