H1 Transfer after 7th year extension and I-140 approved

I am on H1B visa working with company A for past 6 an half years.
My I-140 is approved with this company last month.
But I CAN NOT file I-485 for next 1 or 2 years.

At present I am on 7th year extension with this company.

I am also doing my MBA simultaneously (part-time). It will take another 1 year for me to complete my MBA.

Right now my company is doing lay-offs. If for any reason, I get laid off then what are my best available option?

1.> Can I transfer my H1B to another company B and get H1B visa extension after 7th year completion?

2.> Can I transfer to F1 visa and complete my MBA without leaving this country?

Hi Jignesh,

As your 140 is approved, I think you are in good shape. Please keep copy of your 140 approved, and show it to new employer's lawyer - lawyer will take care of it.

Here you will get direct 3 years extension because 140 is approved.

No. I have not got 3 year extension ever since I-140 approved.
My 7th year extension is due in November - 2007.
So what options do I have if I get laid off before November 2007 :-> then can I get 3 year extension during H1 Transfer for new Employer OR am I going to get new H1 only upto November 2007?
