  • Changes to DS 156

    Hi,

I currently work in US on H1B and want to get it stamped since I have changed my employer. I have got an appointment. I need to change some details in DS 156 form but fields are dsabled.

How critical is that? Can I go to consulate and change it there? Or what else do I need to do?

    Someone please reply asap,

    Thanks a lot in advance!!!

If your current stamp is still valid you will not get a new stamp.

If the stamp has expired or you are getting a new stamp and you changed employers since filling up the DS-156 (gets better answers if we dont have to guess your question). Then is the fields are disabled then you can make changes only at the consulate.

      Solved

Official answer from VFS is "Do not change the form manually. Inform VFS officer and they will make the needed changes". Issue is resolved.

      Thanks anyways,
