H1B Renewal

Hi,

I have a valid H1B till Aug2007. I have returned back to India from US in March2007. Just before I returned back, my company has filed for H1B extension.

Is my Visa and petition still valid or will they get invalidated?
Can I travel with my current Visa or do I need to get stamping on the extended petition before traveling to US?

the H1 stamp you have is still valid till Aug 2007.

Your company will get the approval for extension but the attached I-94 will be useless since you left the country since.

If you had the extended I-797 and enter USA using that before the expiration of stamp then you will be given I-94 till the new I-797 date but if you dont have it you will get I-94 till Aug only, and will have to wait for the new petition and file for extension.
