H1 to L1 to H1 Transfer.

I have an H1 with my earlier company.

I came to US in 2002 for 2 months and returned to India.
H1 was Valid till Jun 2003

Joined another company and came to US on L1 in 2006, Visa and I-94 is valid till Jan 2009.

Can I Transfer my H1 from the earlier company to another company while I am in US?

What is the process for this transfer?

In your case there is no H1 transfer but the company will apply that since you were counted against cap in the last 6 years you are cap exempt. So provide all previous H1 documents.
What you will apply along with h1 approval is COS from L1 to H1.
