COS H4 to H1 approved ; Re-enter US on H4 status

Hi All,

Currently I'm in US on H4 status and recently I got COS H4-H1 approval in May2007 along with I-94.Now, I want to travel to India and come back only on H4 visa before october. Also I should get H4 visa stamping before reentering US coz my H4 visa has expired in June and we applied for H4 extension and got valid I-94 for it.So,

1.Can I travel to India on H4 and come back on same status (by restamping my h4 visa)?

2.Can I start working from october with approved H1(also got I94) without any further COS?
