one of my friends need help related to H1 revalidation.
He is on H1B, went to India in may 07 as his project was done. H1 visa was valid until july 3rd week so company applied for renewal(in may 2nd week) . since he had to stay beyond expiry date, H1 stamping has to be renewed but renewal at USCIS is not done so they changed it to premium processing like 2 weeks back but on USCIS website it still shows old status and they dont know whats going on. he has an appointment booked in mumbai in aug 1st week so company asked him to postpone it to aug 2nd week to allow the premium processing to complete and documents mailed to him in India. he is trying for appointment in aug 2nd week now.
He is concerned and worried reg visa stamping as he is been out of US for last couple of months and going to visa stamping 3 weeks after H1 expiry. would there be any compications at emabassy in cases like this, will they create any problems or ask for additional documents or put a query & reject the visa?
did any of you guys had a situation like this? any specific documentation is needed ?
