Not a transfer..filing 2 different times

Hi,

I have got a receipt no. under company A. If it gets approved, can I file for H-1 again under company B next year? Is there going to be any legal issue?

I dont see any legal issues there.

But the complication arise only whether you travelled to US or not.

If you took up employment with Company A and in US, you will not come under H1 quoto next year, when Company B files for your H1.

If you did not travel to US under current H1 approval, you will have to go thru Quoto again.
