Is birth certificate to be produced during H1B visa interview

if so whether the birth certificate should be from the muncipality or from the church or both and i heard to apply for green card birth certificate is needed and which certificate we should provide municipality birth certificate or birth certificate from church(baptism certificate)

can any one help regarding this issue

For applying Greencard Birth certificate should be taken in india in a Muncipal office. So while taking that ask the people to give in a english format.
