My question is if someone is getting sponsored by an employer for the H1B Visa,would they have been told about it by now? As it is necessary to schedule the interview, if they are planning to be in the US in October 2007, would they have been informed by now? If there is no news, does it mean that they lost out in the random selection by the computer?

Please answer, as this is very important for me.
