Which consolate ?

Hi All,

My consultancy/company filed for H1 B for me in ZZZ(place where US consolate is located in india), because i was working(5-6 months ago) nearby ZZZ.

Now(i.e after 5.5 months) i am working for a different company near by YYY(place where US consolate is located).

Question?

1) Where should i attend for Visa Interview YYYY OR YYY ??

A. If i can attend in YYY then, then my I797 has Class consolate as ZZZ
Is this a problem?

B.If i can attend in ZZZ, then visa interviewer may ask me to attend at YYY as i am currently working near YYY ??

Please some one help me wih right answer !!!

What does your passport address say?

It is better that you attend interview at YYY eventhough I 797 has class consolate as ZZZ. I have read in other forums stating it is always better to attend the consulate nearest to the PP address(Home State). Of course this is not a legal advice and you may wait for some more postings before taking a plunge.
