I am an employer of an H2A employee from Australia. When he came to the US from Australia, his port of entry was San Francisco, California. They wrote on his I 94, H2 instead of H2A and so when he went to the social security office to get his social security number, they were unable to give him one because of the mistake. We live in central South Dakota, 30 miles north of Pierre, SD on a ranch. The closest Homeland Security office is 400 miles away. What do you suggest that we do so that he can get his I 94 corrected so that he can get his social security number?
