Husband on H1 wife working for Indian company while staying in US

Hi,
I work here on H1 status and my wife is currently in India. She is planning to travel here and her company wants her to continue working with them. What aer the possibilities. Thye can't do H1/L1 for her. So can she travel on H4 and keep working for them on India pay roles while she is here. Or she can travel on B1- the company hhas business interest in US and can get B1 ( I am here for 6 more months only) and keep working on Inida pay roles.

Strange situation but will be grateful if you can share the experiences.

She can either travel on B1 or convert to B1 here and work.She can only get paid in India.

Thanks. But I have a question. Is it that you need to apply from Chennai counslate only as I don't see similar things in Delhi embassy site.

Not really, you can get it even in New delhi. Chennai consulate is only posting on behalf of department of state for information. It applies to a B1 obtained at any consulate.
