Query regarding civil marriage and H4

I and my girl friend are going to get marry through civil marriage(court marriage) because our parents are not agreed. I am on H1 and I want to bring her USA on H4. Just worried about the requirement of invitation letter & marriage photos(in my case I wont have traditional Hindu marriage photos). Can that be any problem? She is from different cast. Is it recommended to change name in passport before appearing to the interview?

You may submit photogrpahs from civil marriage. If you do not have any photographs, simply write a letter to the consulate. In some cases they issue a visa after they verify legitamacy of your civil ceremony.
