My H1b visa doubts

My Case :
When I was in INDIA, I applied for H1-B. While my papers were being
processed, I came here on H4 during the month of June 2007. While am in US i got my H1B approved and received my papers.
( I have I797C and I797B. )

Heard from my employer that COS cannot be done from H4-H1B as the H1B is applied when i was in Chennai. "Chennai" consulate is mentioned in I797B , so I need to travel to Chennai for H1B stamping .

Questions

1. Is there a way to change the stamping place from Chennai to Canada ? If so what to be done ? Timeline ?
2. What is the probability of getting a new H1B visa stamped in Canada ?
(I have only 2 yrs IT experience)
3. What is the procedure to book H1B appointments in Canada - US consulate ?
4. If in case of any problems in my H1B stamping in Canada, Can I travel
back to US with my H4 visa ? (I have valid H4 visa till Sept 08)


Please give me your valuable suggestions and experiences to make my path success.

Your sposer attorney must apply for amendments to yur approved H1 to change the interview center take 90-180 days depends on the service center.
2. What is the probability of getting a new H1B visa stamped in Canada ?
(I have only 2 yrs IT experience) Only advantage is if you do not get you can come back to US with your H4.
3. What is the procedure to book H1B appointments in Canada - US consulate ? Go to canada US consulate web site.
4. If in case of any problems in my H1B stamping in Canada, Can I travel
back to US with my H4 visa ? (I have valid H4 visa till Sept 08)

H4 to H1 with I797B w/o I94

Hi GreatGuru....

I got my H1 approved wn i was in india na i came to us on H4.I got I797B without I94.Now my question is....

1.Can i go for stamping in mexico?
2.If my visa got rejected in mexico then can i come back to US on my H4 or will they cancel my H4 also....

Plz reply soon.Its urgent b'coz i tooka an appointment on Jan17th in Metamoros.
