L2 to H1

I am currently on an L2 visa in the USA. I have an approved H1B petition.

Can someone please tell me when and how can I start working for my firm on the H1b? What is the procedure to move from L2 to H1 and how long does it take?

look at the approval notice if it came with new I-94 then you are already H1 and can start work immediately.

If it did not then you will have to file for COS using form I539 to H1 (takes a few months).

Or travel abroad get H1 stamped and enter using H1, usually faster
