    Hi,
I am right now working for an MNC in India and applied H1B through a consul in USA, received my H1B papers this sep '07,when i was going through the papers my date of birth is printed wrong, i talked to my consultancy regarding the same, they said they applied for amendment. So my question is how long it takes to get it done? Do i get any Tag number when applied so that i can check the status? Do i need to wait for the papers to be corrected before i book my visa appointment and go to the visa office? Please do advise me.
    Thanks!!!

I wont be surprised if this consultant changed your date of birth on purpose to show you are older, there by adding **** experiences on the resume as usual.
See this post about indian-consultants before you make a move:
Note that this is not a legal advice. Consult your immigration attorney for the best upto-date information.
