    2 questions....pl help

    My wife was on H4 until Nov 2006 after which she got her H1. My 6 yrs on H1 expire in Oct 2008. Her 6yrs in US will also be completed same time.

    Q1. Can she continue to stay in US beyond Oct 2008 on her H1? Does she get 6 years on her H1 even though she was previously on H4 for 4 years?

    Q2. Can I stay on H4 (worst case scenario if GC is not filed) after Oct 2008?

        recentlyy stay on H1 and 4 were decoupled so yes, but I do remeber there was some dicsussion wether that was just a suugestion or rule.
        search for the truth.
