  • L1 to H1

    Hi,

I was on L1-b with Company A in 2006 and applied H1-B with company B while in US.
I had to leave india in Apr 2006 and meanwhile H1-b was approved. Company A sends me back on L1-B in jan 2007.

    1. Can i leave company A and work for company B while i am in US.
    2. Is L1 to H1 transfer or status change possible now without leaving US.
    3. Or can i get it stamped in Canada or mexico.

        Thanks for the reply.

Company B thru which i got my H1 says that i was out of status for btw apr 2006 to jan 2007 as i was in india and cannot wrk on h1 wout stamping from india.

since i came back to US on jan 2007 with fresh l1 and meanwhile had a approved H1 wout i-94, can i still go for the approved h1 wout leaving US.

I know this is kinda rhetoric but just want to clarify before i talk to my h1 sponsor again.
