Need help on h1b Appoinment

Hi,

I have recevied approval notice on my h1b filing.And on the notice it is mentioned as Chennai counslate.
Now the sponsor is telling me to book date in Mumbai.

Will there be any issue If I book date in Mumbai????

if you have lived in the south (hyderabad,bangalore,chennai) in the last 6 months you have to go to the Chennai consulate for your visa-interview.There is a good chance of you being sent back from Mumbai to Chennai if you go to the wrong consulate.
