Me and My wife had stamping in sep this year.
I got H1 and my wife got h4,We both are in india now ad iam leaving to usa next month.I heard h4 dependent can work after 6 months ,is it after coming from usa or after getting visa??
What is the procedure to convert her h4 to h1 visa?

There is no rule like working after 6 months. H4 visa status, it is not legal to work in US any time. your wife should have H1B petition approved and then can transfer the status from h4 to h1.
