H4 interview seperately - Please guide me

Hi Seniors,
Anyone attended for H4 interview seperately, when H1B is already issued and H1B holder is not yet flew to US. (Still in India only).

My case is... I got H1B visa on 21 Nov, 2007 and I am planning to fly in January 2nd week. Can my spouse go for H4 before I fly to US? If yes, what are the required documents? Please guide me.

Hi friend,

Nothing to panic! Ideally, you should have taken appointment for both of you on the same day so that the deal and the ordeal was over.

Fix an appointment with the consulate for H4 visa and supply your wife with all the documents that are mentioned in the consular website. It should be a cake walk since you already have H1B stamped.

You need not and will not be allowed to take another interview or accompany your wife into the consulate.

Tell her to go with confidence and when she gets it voila! Travel together to the US.

The consulate website has the detailed information of documents to be furnished for H4 interview.
