Will go to US only in May. When is right time to Stamp First H1B.

My first H1B has been approved for 2008.(I amworking in India for small firm)
I am likely to go to USA to work only in May (Due to family reasons).

If I get my H1B stamped right now, will this 6 months gap create any problem ?
On the other hand, if I go for my H1B stamping only in next May, are there any risks?

---- There is something missing in your post. The H1B applications for the year 2008 have not yet been accepted by USCIS. They will be in April 2008 for the period starting in Oct. 2008. Clarify the matter if your H1B approval notice for 2007 has been received by you now

---- You can get your Visa stamped any day and go to the US any day as long as your H1 is valid and you have a valid and unexpired Visa in your possession

On the other hand, if I go for my H1B stamping only in next May, are there any risks?

---- There is no risk of going to a Visa interview at any stage of the H1 validity
