H4 Visa/EAD card

Hi

I am on H4 visa. My spouse is on H1B visa. We do not wish to change to L1/L2 visa. Is there any other means by which I could secure work, even part time in a mall or something? Is there any way I can get a EAD? How do I go about applying for an EAD?
