Regarding Job Visa .. Specific case..... pls Help !!

Hi ,

I am from India and presently in USA in a B1/B2 visa .I am here for my client to attend some fairs and designing and making the illustrations and covers of her book.Now I am also making her website , taking to the press on her behalf as her entire technical person.Now she wants to hire me as her assistant cum technical man as i wd design her DVD for the books ,record her voice, as well plan the promotions for her in USA.

Now she wants to have a contract with me , and the contract period being 1-2 years.Now after going back to India what visa shd I apply for ....and what all I have to show to the consulate In Kolkata .

Can someone please advice me ???

If US based , she holds any corporation/LLC? What kind of business she does?
Approximate revenues?

Thanks GreatGuru........My Client is based in USA.She is a Reiki Teacher and healer.She gets her clients in her home,she runs her business through getting booths in seceral Psychic fairs in USA.She aslo teaches Yoga and and writing her books.One book is about to get published.I am the person who is making her website , plannning her promotions, made and to make the illustrations & designs for her book.Last year she showed an income of $30,000/yr amd yes she pays her income taxes. No she is not a part of any corporation/LLC. Thus she wants me as her secretary as well as Promotion & Technical man.

She may not qualify for getting an H1 visa for you. Her 30K is sufficeient for her self.

Only way you can come and go with your B1 visa. How much you expect from her per month, anything less then 3k may not qualify for you for a work visa.

But H1 visas are available only in APRIL 2008 to start work from Oct 2008, but her sponsership will not qualify for H1.

OHh thanks !! So you mean she has to show at least 3-4k/month more to apply for hiring me on a H1 visa ??? I would ask you a complete different thing .....do you know what I have to show to start a business or store in USA ??As I may try to enter into a partnership with her !!

To start a bsuiness LLC or corporation in USA you do not need any visa with your B visa you can do it. Mind it you should not get any pay check form that store without a proper visa.

If you have an Indian company you can open a US branch by showing at least 25k in the bank balance & office space you can apply a L visa.

YES. 25,000 USD, but you must show your Indian running business and its running condition to get L1 visa.

To just start the LLC or corporation but no visa you no need so any Indian company operation.
