221g in chennai

I have attended an interview for H1B visa during last month at Chennai in India.
The lady has asked me what I have studied and once I told her that I am a masters in computer science.
She took my I-797 and gave me the Blue 221g form.
She told me that I will be contacted by them.
It has been 3 weeks but I have not heard back from them

Can any body suggest me if it is a good idea to contact them

Yeah...

I can understand what you are going through. You know these people, the VO's they should give complete information about the consequences after the interview. But they don't do that, and some of them are so rude. I guess there is nobody to question them about their functioning and their conduct and therefore they act like the way they want. I am not sure if there is a way to escalate this issue. I have no idea what can be done about this painful problem.

try giving a mail to chennai consulate. you will get a prompt reply from those people. good luck.
